Giveaway! Crystal Cabin Fever tickets!

Crystal Cabin Fever in Lakeville Pa presents the African Safari in Ice will open to the public February 10th and you can win tickets to go!  This year’s theme, African Safari in Ice, will feature ice Elephants,  Lions, Giraffes and Gazelles.  This year the giant slide will be a 40-foot dual-run elephant themed ice slide.

This is a really fun place to visit during the cold month of February, my kids LOVE sliding down the giant ice slide!

Warm up with hot chocolate and stop by the snack bar to sample their pulled pork, hot dogs, hamburgers and more!

Every day there will be ice carving demonstrations and on Saturdays February 11 & 25 check out the live ice carving competitions from 12-4 PM.  On Sundays February 12 & 26 live ice carving competitions from 12-3 PM. Ongoing ice shows President’s Day Weekend will include demos by owner and master carver Mark Crouthamel.

Crystal Cabin Fever is located at Sculpted Ice Works in Lakeville, PA on Rt. 590 between Hawley and Hamlin.

Charlotte’s Web is coming to the Kirby Center on Sunday, January 29th and as part of the special celebration, the Lands at Hillside Farms will be putting on a live mini zoo in Public Square Wilkes-Barre!  They will be bringing lots of different animals, including a calf, cow, goat, sheep, chickens and of course….piglets.

Showtime for Charlotte’s Web is 2 p.m. and the mini zoo will be available for viewing both prior to the show and at the conclusion of the show.  Click here to purchase tickets to the show.

As many of you know I love Hershey! My husband and I lived in the Hershey area for many years and yes, it really does smell like chocolate!  Now that we live in NEPA we still travel to Hershey to visit the Chocolate Factory and the Park and all of our old favorites.  And lets not forget,  what is not to love about Hershey’s chocolate?  It is so rich and creamy…mmmm, it really is a little slice of heaven.  Making it all even better is that proceeds from the sale of all Hershey’s products and attractions goes towards fulfilling Milton Hershey’s legacy of providing for underprivileged children through the Milton Hershey School, so you can support a great cause while enjoying your chocolate ;)

I was thrilled to be contacted by the Hershey company around Christmastime and asked to try out their newest product, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate with Almonds Pieces and guess what?  I have some to give away to you as well!

These candies were a huge hit at our holiday gatherings this year.  I put out a bowl and they were gone before I knew it!  Everyone gravitates towards the Hershey’s candies, especially my 4 year old :)

I am so excited about this giveaway!  Sandy from Wiggles, Squiggles & Grins has agreed to give away a gift certificate for a FREE session of mommy and me fun for you and your children (or grandchildren!). You may chose which session to attend and sessions  meet for one hour each week for either a 6 or 8 week period.

At Wiggles, Squiggles & Grins, LLC, you and your child(ren) will experience music and movement in a relaxed setting.  The groups will be no larger than 6 children with a parent or caregiver remaining at any one session.  Please note that this is not only for moms!  Dads, grandparents, and other caregivers may bring your child as well!    There are groups for children beginning at 6 months old and continue through 5 years old. Sessions meet for one hour each week for either a 6 or 8 week period.

At each session you and your child(ren) will experience music and movement in a way that helps to meet many developing needs of children.  Through movements to the music, your child will develop hand-eye coordination, develop balance and develop gross motor skills while learning letters and letter sounds, colors, shapes, and numbers.  Another part of each session is an art process experience.  Your child will develop fine motor skills that are so important for later writing skills.
