2014 NEPA Easter Activites

March 28, 2014

March 28: Easter Bunny Visits, Viewmont Mall, Monday–Saturday 10am-8pm, Sunday 11am-6pm. EXTENDED HOURS: Wednesday–Saturday, April 16-19, 10am-9pm. Children visiting the Bunny will receive a FREE Li’l Dimples Plush, while supplies last.

March 28: Easter Bunny Visits, Wyoming Valley Mall. Saturday, March 29, from 10am to 12noon-we’re having an Easter Bunny Arrival Celebration: Live Radio Broadcast with Frankie from Magic 93.

March 30, 2014

March 30: Pet Easter Celebration, Toyota Scion of Scranton, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Attendees can get their pets’ pictures taken with the Easter Bunny for a $5 donation to benefit Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.

April 5, 2014

April 5: COMMONWEALTH HOSPICE ANNUAL EASTER BUNNY BREAKFAST:, 9:30 a.m. to noon, McGowan Conference Center, second floor, Regional Hospital of Scranton, $10/free for children 10 and younger by March 31, seating limited. 570-348-7372.

April 5:  MEC Easter Egg Hunt, N.P. Middle School. This event is open to the public. Eggs, door prizes, games, baked goods , pictures with the Easter Bunny and raffle baskets.

April 5: Lunch with the Easter Bunny,  12:00PM. Best Western Pioneer Plaza, 25 South Main Street, Carbondale. Call 570-536-6020 to reserve your spot! Adults (12 and up) $10

April 5: Spring EGGstravaganza, with the Easter Bunny, children’s games, crafts, vendors, Easter flowers, bake sale and refreshments. Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 4 E. Center Hill Road, Dallas. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. . 570-675-8600.

April 5: Easter Egg Hunt, Rice Township Park, 3000 Church Road, 1 p.m. with eggs, candy and prizes.

April 5: Community Egg Hunt, Stroney Field at Hillside Park, 1188 Winola Rd., Clarks Summit, 10 a.m. to noon. Children up to age 12 are welcome. Other kids activities will be available. Rain or shine event. Free. A bake sale will benefit the AAJRB. Info/pre-registration: 570-343-3270.

April 6, 2014

April 6: Easter Party,12-2p.m. or 3-5 p.m. My Mother’s Delicacies Cafe, 302 Cherry St, Scranton. Each child will have the opportunity to visit with the Easter Bunny, decorate a sweet, a make and take Easter Craft, and games and prizes. Party will be planned through Sparkling Tiara’s/Royally Fun Party Planners with sweets provided by My Mother’s Delicacies Café.Price for children $8, reservations can be made by calling  (570) 343-5266 ext. 201.

April 12, 2014

April 12th:   Easter Egg Hunt to benefit the LAckawanna County Sheriffs Mounted Unit , 12-3pm.,  Joe Terry Civic Center , Montdale Rd. Two egg hunts one for 4 and under, one for 5-11. There are over 400 eggs and a prize in every egg. Activity tables, prizes, bake sale, the Easter Bunny, meet the police horses, raffles, Egg dying, and contests! Tickets are $5.00 a child.

April 12: FREE Easter Egg Hunt,  McDade Park. Candy for children, Avon samples for adults. Basket raffles full of Avon Products and extras. Food and beverages at reasonable prices. Saturday April 12. Free registration starts at 11, hunt starts at 1. RSVP appreciated. 570-507-9706.

April 12: FREE Easter Egg Hunt and more on behalf of the Roaring Brook Twp Recreation Department, 10-12 p.m. at the St. Eulalia’s Church Picnic Grounds. Multi-ages Egg hunts, crafts, activities and more!

April 12: Easter Egg Hunt at the Waverly Community House on Saturday, April 12 at 10 a.m. There will crafts and breakfast in the gym, along with a visit from the Easter Bunny. Cost: $10 per person. Children under the age of one are free. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at the Comm office from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on weekdays. For more information, call 570-586-8191, Ext. 2.

April 12: Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch with the Easter Bunny,Cougar’s Den, Misericordia University, 301 Lake St., Dallas. Brunch seatings at 10 and 11:15 a.m. and the egg hunt at 11 a.m Reservations: 570-674-6768.

April 12: Jerry’s for All Seasons, Dunmore Pa 11am,  4,000 eggs and more!

April 12th: Elm Park Church, Scranton. 12pm-3pm – kids activities – pre registration required

April 12: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Frank Farina, Olyphant Ambulance Building, 11-2 p.m. Free photos and Easter Baskets while supplies last.

April 13, 2013

April 13: Greater Scranton Jaycees Easter Egg Scramble,  Everhart Pavilion, Nay Aug Park, Scranton, 12 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

April 19, 2014
April 19: Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by 98.5 KRZ: , 11 a.m., Mall at Steamtown
April 19: Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt at Scranton/Wilkes Barre Railriders Stadium.  Sensory Sensitive Easter Bunny, Bounce House, Face Painting, Balloon Art and characters. This is a free event for all children!

    I know last year, we took my grandson to an egg hunt at Price Chopper in Wilkes Barre. It was wonderful ! Because everyone got goodies and they had two hunts going. One for older children and one for the younger ones, toddlers. Had a great time ! Dont know if they are having it again this year . Will try to find out !

  4. Egg Hunt April 12 at the Newton Rec Center, Newton-Ransom Blvd, Clarks Summit.
    12-2pm. Ages 0-10 (ages hunt in age friendly groups). Visit by the Easter Bunny, games, snacks, and each child receives an Easter Basket of goodies. $2 donation to cover expenses.

  6. Northeast Pa Pet Fund and Rescue is host an Easter Dog Parade and Costume Contest on Saturday April 12th at The Mall at Steamtown in Scranton. The costume contest begins at 2pm There is a registration fee of $10 to benefit the Rescue.. Prizes to be awarded in Various categories
    . Your Pixel Perfect will be there to take spring photos of your pets.. They has a gorgeous new backdrop for the season. There will be a pup bakery to buy your fur-baby some special Easter treats. Several rescues will be present with their adoptable dogs..

  7. Northeast Pa Pet Fund and Rescue Presents its’ 1st Annual Easter Dog Parade & Costume Contest on Saturday, April 12th.

    Hop on over to the The Mall at Steamtown with your fur-baby and join us for some fun!! Dig through the closet for a spring time dress or deck them out in their Sunday best. Make it jazzy, flashy, sassy or classy and bring them out to sashay, swagger and strut their stuff.

    Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Best Easter Bonnet, Cutest, Most Creative, and Funniest. There is an entrance fee of $10 to benefit the rescue. The first 100 contestants will get a Goody bag filled with dog related items and more.

    *** KRZ will be doing a Live Broadcast
    *** Photos by Your Pixel Perfect 12PM to 4PM
    *** Pup-Bakery with Gourmet and Homemade dog treats
    *** Adoption Event – Several Rescues will be present

    Entercom Great Egg Hunt 2014
    Bring your kids to join the fun at the Entercom Great Egg Hunt 2014 at the Mall at Steamtown on Saturday, April 19th at 10am!

    This Easter Egg Hunt is open to children up to age 8. It will take place inside the Mall at Steamtown on the second floor near Boscov’s. Children will be able to enjoy the egg hunt in two age groups; ages 1 – 4 and ages 5 – 8. They will each get to hunt for a few eggs filled with candy and prizes! Prizes include plush bunnies, gift cards, toys, and more!

    The Entercom Great Egg Hunt 2014 begins at 10am and lasts until noon, while supplies last. So grab the kids and hop on over for some fun!
